Work of Worth is the newly acquired e-commerce company that will serve as a retail outlet for Tying Vines’ Marketplace initiatives. Work of Worth was originally founded in 2013 in Birmingham, AL under the leadership of Barry Morehead with the purpose of expanding the capacity of organizations working to rescue victims from human trafficking circles in South Asia. By providing an outlet for products produced in these communities, Work of Worth provides additional opportunities to dignified work for those held captive in modern day slavery.

Work of Worth will continue to support these organizations moving forward, but also intends to expand upon the product lines currently featured on the website to include items produced by our project partners. This will improve sustainability and open up more opportunities for our partners to build upon the work they’re currently conducting.

Two members of the Tying Vines team spent the first week of November in Birmingham, Alabama hosting a booth at the 2021 Annual Christmas Village tradeshow, in which they officially relaunched the website after being dormant for a couple of years. We’re thrilled by the potential of Work of Worth, and are so excited to leverage another opportunity to support the work of Tying Vines and our partners.

The Work of Worth website is currently live and can be seen here. Be sure to give them a follow on their social media channels to keep up with our progress and for new product releases!
