Mamdouh Lawendy, an Egyptian-born Canadian, launched Together Network in 2015. Prior to this, and preparing him for this, Mamdouh served with Cru for 18 years. Most of this time was in Egypt, Jordan and Israel. The focus of the work was evangelism, discipleship and leadership development.
In 2008, Mamdouh and his wife moved to Canada and became the International Director for Arab Vision Ministry. After 7 years of leading the AVM and GRMS ( Global Response Ministries Service), the Lawendys felt called to launch Together Network.
In only 6 years, Together Network has grown to 32 staff in North Africa, the Middle East, West Africa and among the Arab refugees in Europe. They have 4 offices now with the hub located in Egypt.
Tying Vines connected with Mamdouh in 2019. In 2020 Together Network became one of the projects partnering with Tying Vines to spread the love of Jesus around the world and see lives transformed.
