In the heart of rural Ghana, a woman named Jane Okang is quietly changing the world—one child at a time.
Born and raised in Ghana, Jane always believed that education was a lifeline. Her brilliance earned her a scholarship to study in New York, a dream many can only imagine. But even as she walked the streets of one of the world’s most iconic cities, her heart never left the red clay roads of her childhood. She remembered the children—bright-eyed, barefoot, and full of dreams—walking miles under the hot sun just for a chance to learn.
So she did something extraordinary.
With her own savings, Jane purchased four acres of land in the village of Amanfrom and built what is now known as the Christ Love for Kids (CLoK) Academy, or ACA. Founded in 2018, ACA offers preschool through fourth grade to over 160 children—many of whom come from deeply under-resourced communities. It’s a place filled with prayer, laughter, and the sound of children discovering their potential.
But while the school stands as a beacon of hope, a harsh reality still remains: many of Jane’s students don’t have a safe or reliable way to get to school. They travel long distances—some through dangerous terrain—just to sit in a classroom.
And this is where we need your help.
Jane is organizing two fundraisers this June with one heartfelt goal: to purchase a school bus. A simple bus—something so ordinary to many of us—could mean everything to these children. It means safety. It means time saved. It means more children can attend. It means more dreams can thrive.
The cost of educating a child at ACA is less than $200 a year, yet most families cannot afford even that. Teachers work for as little as $150 a month, and Jane continues to pour her own money into feeding, equipping, and building a future for these children.
But she can’t do it alone.
