New Life Church was planted in 2009 by the Evangelical Community Church pastoral leadership and a small group of faithful members desiring a church more accessible to the growing number of people that live in outlying communities off of the primary Abu Dhabi Island.. New Life Church is a member of The Council of Evangelical Churches in the United Arab Emirates and was instrumental in planting Grace church.
Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common. And with great power the apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold and laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.
Pedro came to faith in Christ in 1999 and was baptized that same year. In April 2014 he got married to Victorina in Angola where they come from. In November 2014 they moved to Abu Dhabi and started attending New Life Church. They officially became members of New Life Church in March 2015. Since then, both Pedro and Victorina served in the ‘Welcome Team’ for a year and then transitioned to the Youth Ministry in 2016.
In 2019 Pedro was selected to be the candidate for the Global Pastoral Apprenticeship program which he completed in June 2020. Pedro is currently serving as an elder and a Pastoral Assistant for the elders’ team at New life Church and pursuing a degree in M. A. in Pastoral Ministry and Church Planting with The Gulf Theological Seminary (GTS) in Dubai. After graduating Pedro and Victorina plan by God’s grace to go back to Angola and be an instrument in God’s hand to plant a church there.
