Purpose: To foster the development of sustainable communities through economic development in partnership with local community leaders and organizations.

Outcomes: The success of any business fostered by Tying Vines is measured by its performance in four areas:

Profit: The business must be profitable and engage in transparent financial management.
People: The business must provide jobs, training, safe working conditions, fair compensation and treat people with dignity and respect.
Purpose: The business must give back to the community, support local community organizations, and integrate the faith-based values.
Planet: The business must not harm the environment and work to improve the environment in which it operates.

Methods: The Marketplace works to achieve its purpose and outcomes through the following three initiatives:

Capacity Development: This is the training and coaching of business leaders in the basics of business plan development and business management.
Business Development: This is the selection, funding and coaching for promising business plans and business leaders to start new businesses.
Products to Markets: This is an initiative to provide an eCommerce platform to take to market products that are made in the business we have developed. This platform is called Work of Worth and markets and sells products from our partners.
