Building on Faith: The Story of Uganda NTCC
Twenty-seven years ago, a small group of believers heard a call, a call not just to build walls, but to build the work of God.
They went to the Ankole region of southwest Uganda carrying a vision: to plant a community of faith that would grow deep roots and bear fruit for generations.
That vision became the New Testament Church of Christ Movement (NTCC) in the country of Uganda, and today, it stands as a living testimony to what it means to live out God’s work here on earth.
Building on Faith
When the first foundation stones were laid, they were not just physical, they were spiritual. Prayers whispered, hands joined, and hearts united in purpose.
Now, decades later, those same prayers echo through 22 churches, 70 leaders, and over 2,000 believers who continue to carry the mission forward.
Every sermon preached, every child taught, every well dug, every life changed, each one is another brick in a work that will never crumble.
The NTCC building in Uganda is more than a structure, it is a symbol of what happens when God’s people say yes. From the outside, it stands tall, a two-story beacon of light in the heart of the city. Inside, it hums with the activity of a community that loves and serves in the name of Christ.
On Sundays, its upper halls ring with worship. On weekdays, its ground floor businesses create the income that sustains ministry work. Through this one building, the church has become a center for both spiritual growth and economic sustainability, a tangible picture of faith in action on earth: where faith and stewardship meet.
A New Chapter in the Story — Is God Calling You?
Now, God is calling this community to build again, not just upward, but onward.
The next phase of construction, two new floors, will provide rental income to make the entire NTCC network fully self-sustaining. That means 22 churches across Uganda will have what they need to thrive, from supporting pastors and teachers to funding outreach, healthcare, and youth programs.
Each floor represents another step toward independence and dignity, a church no longer relying on outside aid, but standing firmly on the foundation of Christ and the work of its own hands.
As one Ugandan pastor shared, “We are not just building a structure. We are building faith. We are building the future.”
The Work Continues
From leadership conferences to sewing programs, from clean water wells to medical clinics, the NTCC movement has been quietly and faithfully carrying out God’s work for nearly three decades. They are raising up leaders, restoring hope, and reminding communities that the Gospel isn’t just a message to hear, it’s a life to live.
And now, as the final bricks are set and the final beams rise, we see the fullness of what God began all those years ago.
This is what faithful service looks like: a church empowered, a people equipped, and a legacy that will outlast us all.
