Celebrating 15 Years of Tying Vines: Bound by Purpose
Fifteen years ago, Tying Vines began with a simple but powerful belief: local leaders are often the people best position
A devastating fire at an orphanage supported by one of Tying Vines’ trusted ministry partners in Egypt destroyed an essential part of daily life for the children who called it home.
The fire destroyed the orphanage kitchen, along with an entire month’s supply of food. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the loss created an immediate challenge for the children and caregivers.
Before the fire, the kitchen prepared nearly 150 meals every day for the 45 children living at the orphanage.
With the kitchen destroyed and food reserves lost, the orphanage suddenly faced the challenge of continuing to provide daily meals while also rebuilding this essential space.
The immediate needs included replacing critical kitchen equipment, such as ovens and refrigerators, rebuilding the kitchen, and replenishing the food supply the children depended on each day.
In moments of crisis, we are continually reminded of the importance of relationships and community. Through our partnership with Ambassadors by the Nile, supporters had the opportunity to come alongside the children and caregivers through prayer, generosity, and sharing their story with others.
Every prayer mattered. Every gift helped. Every person who shared the need helped remind these children and those caring for them that they were not alone.
For Tying Vines, this is what partnership looks like—coming alongside trusted local leaders as they care for their communities, responding to practical needs while demonstrating the love and hope of Jesus.
What was lost in the fire was significant, but so was the response of those who chose to help.
Thank you to everyone who prayed, gave, shared, and stood alongside our partners in Egypt as they worked to rebuild and continue caring for these 45 children.
Your generosity became more than a donation—it became a tangible reminder that even in an unexpected crisis, there was a community ready to respond with compassion.
Together, we can continue impacting lives.
